This is possibly Rose Hardwicke, born at Fingal on 18 Apr 1875, the third daughter of Thomas Hardwicke (died 2 Jan 1912) and his second wife Jane Wall Chamberlain (died aged 48 on 6 Nov 1892). Rose was the granddaughter of Charles Browne Hardwicke, sea captain and early pioneer of Northern Tasmania. She had seven brothers and sisters. Two of her sisters, Laura Jane Eddie and Emily Hardwicke, are also in the Launceston Family Album.
