Olive Grace Sidebottom was born on 24 Mar 1867, the second daughter of William Sidebottom, MHA for Selby and a bark merchant of York Street, Launceston and his wife Sarah Jane Bull (1844-1893). On 28 Oct 1897, at the age of 28, Olive married James Tasman Campbell at St John’s Church, Launceston. They left soon after on the Coogee for their honeymoon in Melbourne. Olive and James had their daughter Olga in 1898 at 45 Auburn Road, Auburn, Victoria. The family later moved to Crow’s Nest, North Sydney, where James died in 1934.
