Mary Gertrude (May) Harrap was born on 23 May 1864, the sixth child of Alfred Harrap and his wife Amelia Tobin. May lived at ‘Egremont’, Welman Street, with her brother George and sister Ada from the time the house was built in 1904. She did not marry and died on 25 Jul 1953 aged 89. Her cremated remains were buried at the Carr Villa Cemetery in Section B9 No.13.
