This is possibly Mary Elizabeth Merry who was born in Launceston on 29 Mar 1859 and christened on 24 Apr 1859. She was the daughter of John Nicklin Merry (died at Oatlands 25 Jul 1893) and Eliza Price who were married on 14 Feb 1855.

Alternatively, this may be the Mary Merry who was head nurse at the Launceston General Hospital at the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition in 1891-92.
