Mary Ann Amelia Taylor was born in Launceston on 6 Feb 1853, the second of four daughters of Thomas Baskerville Prosser and his wife Elizabeth Hopkins. She married Harry Norton Taylor on 12 Aug 1887 at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Launceston. Mary died on 22 Nov 1940 at Arlington Hospital, Hobart, aged 87. She was buried at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery.
