Margaret Ann (Maggie) Baker was born in Launceston on 29 Jul 1863, the second of seven children of Edward Frederick Baker (c.1832-1912), a carpenter, and his wife Marianne (or Mary Annie) Lyle (c. 1832-1904). Maggie’s parents were married on 12 Mar 1861 in Launceston. Her sister Amelia (Emmie) Baker is also pictured in the Family Album.
