Lillias Emma Jane Ferrall was born on 11 Jul 1870 the second daughter of Samuel Charles Ferrall, a butcher, and his wife Elizabeth Wilson. Lillias and her sister Julia were sopranos in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. Lillias was a home help when she married Pateena farmer Robert Mason in Launceston 29 Mar 1899. She lived at Pateena until shortly before her death in Launceston aged 57 on 25 Mar 1928. Lillias was buried privately at the Carr Villa Cemetery in Section E 2 No. 109. Her husband re-married and died aged 76 on 18 Oct 1948. He was buried next to his first wife. See The Examiner 7 Apr 2007, page 35.
