Lillian Bateman was born about 1879 in Dudley, Worcester, England, to Thomas and Jane Bateman. She arrived in Australia with her family on the Iberia in May 1884 aged 6. Lillians’ parents, brother and two sisters also appear in the Album. See The Examiner 15 Oct 2005, p. 30.
