Julia Sarah Ferrall, later called Juliet, was born on 20 Aug 1868 a daughter of Samuel Charles Ferrall, a butcher, and his wife Elizabeth Wilson, who were married in 1861. Juliet and her sister Lillias were sopranos in the Exhibition Choir of 1891-92. Juliet married Alfred George Batten on 27 Mar 1901. Their son Harold was born in Mar 1903 but sadly died in November the same year. Juliet died aged 70 at her home, 3 High Street, Launceston, on 25 Jul 1939. She was buried at the Carr Villa Cemetery in Section E2 No. 73. See The Examiner 7 Apr 2007, page 35.
