Harriet Mary Cumings, known as Addie, was the youngest child of Ebenezer Cumings (1839-1914) and his wife Caroline Harslett (1829-1912). She was born in 1873 in London. Miss H Cumings was an alto in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. Before they married Addie and her sister Minnie conducted a private school at South Esk Road, Trevallyn.

Harriet married Horace Samuel Joscelyne, a grocer’s assistant who was born in 1878, on 21 Jan 1903 at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Launceston. They did not have any children. Harriet died aged 73 on 3 Sep 1946 and was privately cremated at Carr Villa. Horace died on 3 Jun 1965. They lived at ‘Roxeth’, 26 Delamere Road, Trevallyn. Her sister Minnie and brother William Cumings are also pictured in the Family Album.
