Grace Isobel Halstead was born on 5 Jun 1868, the fifth daughter of Robert Halstead (c.1826-1873) and Eleanor Dinah Macmichael (1834-1920). She was born at ‘Nonesuch’, Sorell, Tasmania. When she died in Hobart in Apr 1962 at the age of 93, she was the last person to carry the Halstead name in Tasmania. Grace never married.
