Frederick Thomas Easther was born on 4 Dec 1876, the eldest child of George Thomas Easther (1850-1930) and Christiana Elizabeth Webb (1846-1930). Frederick had a younger sister Hilda and brother Basil. He was educated at the Launceston High School. Frederick married Edith Isobel May (Eddie or Eady) Fergusson on 13 Apr 1911 at the Holy Trinity Church, Launceston. Their three children were born in Launceston: Donald in 1911, Leslie in 1915 and Harry in 1919. Frederick was a clerk employed for many years by the wholesale grocers and produce merchant firm of Law, Duncan & Co. He died aged 69 on 21 Mar 1947 and was cremated at Carr Villa. Eddie died aged 62 on 5 Feb 1951.
