Frank Hedley Tarlton, known by his second name, was born in South Australia in 1873. He was the fifth child of Robert Alfred Tarlton (1828-1918) and his second wife Sophia Walters Turner, niece of his first wife Caroline Walters. Hedley attended the Launceston High School. He moved to South Africa with his family in 1893. He died on 7 Jul 1935. See The Examiner 19 August 2006, p. 33.
