Emily Kenworthy was the second of 14 children born to Robert Kenworthy (1824-1892) and his wife Ann Sarah Presnell (1827-1910). She was born in Hobart on 14 May 1849 but the family had moved to Launceston by 1854. Emily sang in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir in 1891-92 along with other members of her family. She did not marry, and died on 15 Dec 1904. Her funeral left her mother’s residence at 274 York Street before her burial at the Charles Street Cemetery. See The Examiner 2 Dec 2006.
