This is possibly Ellen Howe who was born in Deloraine on 15 Aug 1858, the second daughter of William Howe and his wife Mary Ann Kimmons. At the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition William was in partnership with John Wiggins, draper and clothier, Charles Street, Launceston. Ellen’s mother Mary Ann died aged 35 on 21 Jun 1860. Miss Howe was a soprano in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. Ellen possibly died on 27 Oct 1900.
