This is possibly Elizabeth Mathewson who was born in Launceston on 27 Jun 1861, a daughter of William Mathewson and his wife Mary Hunter. Her younger siblings were: Mary Jane, born 16 Mar 1863; a brother, 22 Apr 1865; Walter, 2 Apr 1869; James, 14 Apr 1871 and Helen Alice, 12 May 1873. At the time of the Exhibition Elizabeth was living at 41 George Street, Launceston.

On 19 Feb 1893 Elizabeth married George Ayton Beveridge in Launceston. They were both aged 30. Their children were: Ayton, born 4 Feb 1893, died 26 Mar 1893; George Ayton, 6 May 1894; Ella May, 15 Jul 1897; Mabel Mildred, 18 Nov 1898; Cyril Stanley, 16 Jan 1900; and Mervyn, 5 Dec 1901.

Elizabeth died on 4 Apr 1945 at the age of 83 and was buried in the Wivenhoe General Cemetery, Burnie.
