Elizabeth Jane (Lizzie) Dempster was born on 8 Nov 1877, the eldest daughter of Charles Dempster (1846-1937) and his wife Elizabeth Blackmore (1857-1940). She was born in Prahran, Victoria. She moved with her family to Launceston in Dec 1882. The Weekly Courier gave an account of a dance which was attended by Lizzie and her sisters in Aug 1901. She died aged 27 on 26 Mar 1905 and was buried at the Cypress Street Cemetery, Launceston. See The Examiner 22 Oct 2005, p. 32 and 29 Oct 2005, p. 33.
