Clementine Kathinka Susette Rumpff was born in 1866 in Melbourne, the daughter of Anne Catherine (nee Stephenson) and Justus Jacob Rumpff, an accountant. She was the second of seven children, however Clementine and her youngest brother Maximillian (also in the Family Album) were the only two who survived into adulthood. The family lived in Launceston where her father had a business in Paterson Street. Clementine died unmarried in Armadale, Victoria, in 1948 aged 83. Her father sadly took his own life in Aug 1894. Her brother Max died in 1911 and her mother in 1919.
