Mrs Clara Louisa Waldron was born at ‘Quamby’ on 2 Dec 1866, the fifth daughter of Joseph Stretton (or Stratton) and Jane Mitchell who married on 21 Jul 1857. Clara Stretton married Ernest John Bellord Waldron, a carpenter, on 24 May 1889 at the Wesleyan Chapel, Hagley. Their four children were all born in Launceston: Roy, 1890-1966; Myrtle, 1891-1962, who became a dressmaker; John, 1893-1917, who was killed during the First World War and Reginald, 1894-1979. Clara died aged 74 on 27 Jun 1941 and was buried with her husband at Carr Villa in the Anglican Section B15 No. 454. Her husband Ernest is also pictured in the Family Album.
