Alma and Ruby Weymouth were the youngest children of George Weymouth (1843-1888) and Clara Harris (1843-1915). They moved with the family to Sydney in 1899.

Alma, known as Dick, was born on 16 Oct 1883. He became a pharmacist, married his first wife Rachel Jones in 1909 and had five children. The four boys were given Harris as their second name: Richard, 1912-1942; Max, 1914-1975; Jack, 1914-1981; Victor, 1918-1996 and the only daughter Rae, 1920-1989. The Weymouth chemist business was on the corner of Charlotte Street behind the railway station in Ashfield, Sydney. Rachel died there in 1920 from complications during the birth of her daughter Rae. Dick’s two unmarried sisters, Clara and Ruby, lived with him until he married Elspeth Grant at Annandale in 1927. The family then moved to Cootamundra in country NSW. There were no children from the second marriage. Dick died in 1975.

Ruby Florence was born on 5 Apr 1885. She did not marry and died in Sydney in 1938. See The Examiner 18 & 25 Feb 2006.
