Alice Maud Price was born in Launceston on 30 Jan 1874, the sixth daughter of Robert Henry Price JP (1836-1901) and his wife Mary Bushby (1838-1936). On 26 Apr 1899 Alice married Herbert (Bert) Prosser Green, son of John Thomas Green and Jemima Prosser of Hawthorn, Victoria. Herbert had come to Launceston to work at the Gas Company.

Alice and Herbert had two daughters and two sons. They lived at 115 Canning Street, where the three older children were born between 1901 and 1910. The family later moved to a house they had built at 7 Hillside Crescent, on land owned by Alice. The youngest child Kenneth was born there in 1912. It was there also that her husband Bert died aged 55 in 1926. Alice died aged 85 on 14 Aug 1959. She was buried with her husband at the Carr Villa Cemetery in Section E 309. Herbert is also pictured in the Album.
