This is possibly Alexander Munro who was born on 24 Sep 1873, the younger son of Donald Munro (c.1844-1916) and Alice Sarah West (c.1851-1874). His parents were married on 21 Sep 1871, but his mother Alice died aged 23 on 18 Mar 1874, when Alexander was 6 months old. His older brother Donald William was born on 9 Mar 1872. His father Donald married Elizabeth Butcher (Butchart) on 13 Oct 1877 and had seven more children. Elizabeth died aged 40 on 14 Mar 1891. Donald married a third time to Janet Wright on 17 Apr 1897 and had one daughter.

Alexander married Eva Mary Linton on 26 Jan 1899 in Launceston. The couple had four children, all born at Invermay: Gladys Eva, on 9 Dec 1899; Lachlan Alexander, 26 Aug 1901; Harold Donald, 21 Nov 1904 and Reginald William, 4 May 1914. Alexander later married Rose Sarah Lyons, a widow who had two sons from her first marriage, Leonard and Henry Lyons.

Alexander died in Launceston on 26 Dec 1960 and in his will he is described as a retired storekeeper. He was cremated at Carr Villa.
