Ada Sarah Ellen Illingworth, born at Deloraine, was the seventh of at least 12 children, born to farmer William Wilde Illingworth (1832-1901) and his wife Mary Elizabeth Gould Martin (1841-1924). Ada’s parents were married at Westbury on 13 Oct 1859. They are both buried in the Lefroy Cemetery. Ada’s eldest brother John is also in the Family Album.

Ada sang in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir as a soprano. She later married Fred Chambers. Ada died on 21 April 1902 aged 29 at Newcastle-on-Tyne, England. There is a memorial to her on her father’s tombstone at Lefroy.
